Nathan Melcher is an instructor at the Brave New Workshop Comedy Theater and has performed at a dozen improv comedy festivals in North America, primarily with his solo show The Uncle Ukulele Show. He holds a BA in Film Studies and an MFA in Creative Writing and spent four years teaching college English composition, literature, and creative writing

He is the Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministries at Excelsior United Methodist Church and is a certified ordination candidate in the United Methodist Church. In his spare time he’s a full-time student in the M.Div program at United Theological Seminary.

Nate plays the ukulele when he should be doing homework, doesn’t write as often as he should, is a slow reader, and is doing his best to make the sort of lifestyle changes which promote longevity and peace for the mind and soul. He and his wife, Kelly, live in Hopkins, MN.
